These terms govern your use of Adept. By using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Adept.
What Adept is
Adept organizes publicly available YouTube playlists into structured courses and helps you track your learning progress. We do not host, own, or control the videos. They are played through YouTube's embedded player and remain the property of their creators.
Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to create an account.
- Provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
- You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page.
Acceptable use
When using Adept, you agree not to:
- Break the law or infringe the rights of others.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service, other accounts, or our infrastructure.
- Disrupt or overload the service, including through scraping or automated bulk requests.
- Misuse, resell, or misrepresent the service.
YouTube content
All videos are embedded from YouTube and belong to their respective creators. Your viewing of embedded videos is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service. Video availability is controlled by creators and YouTube, so courses may change or become unavailable if the underlying videos are removed or made private, and we may remove a course at any time.
Sponsored content
Some courses may include clearly marked sponsored recommendations. Sponsored content does not imply our endorsement, and we are not responsible for third-party products or services it links to.
Your data
Your learning progress belongs to you. We store it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Service availability
Adept is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We may add, change, or remove features, or discontinue the service, at any time. We will do our best to give notice of significant changes, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Adept and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data or progress. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service, which for a free service is zero.
Termination
You may stop using Adept or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon deletion, your data is removed as described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update this page and the date above. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
